Meet Our Pastor!

Hello Friends,

I am Matthew Chapman, and I have been blessed to be appointed as the Pastor of Bay Port UMC and Hayes UMC, here in the Thumb of Michigan.  Our rural congregations may be small but the Spirit is alive in our communities, we worship weekly, share in Bible studies and book studies, have VBS, fellowship dinners, and are actively seeking how we can being the transformative power of Jesus Christ to those around us.  I believe that all people are beloved children of God and would love for us to share God's love with you!  I have a passion for preaching and teaching about the Good News, and I have a soft spot for Charles Wesley's hymns.  I would love to see you on Sunday Mornings, or for you to stop by the office for a chat.  I also love coffee, and would gladly share a pot with you.
